Job Description The Business Development Advisor for the Nevada Small Business Development Center (NSBDC) in Las Vegas reports directly to the Director of Southern Nevada Operations. The position provides assistance to area small businesses in the startup, expansion, and operating phases of their business life cycle. By providing professional management assistance to small business owners and managers, the program creates new jobs in the community. The Advisor also assists business organizations that are experiencing difficulties and by helping area businesses survive and retain jobs. This individual works in tandem with the other programs of the NSBDC, Business Services Group, and funding partners by capitalizing on the existing resources and partnerships while continuously seeking new ones. This position’s specialty will be international trade, especially exporting.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and three years or a Master’s Degree and two years of experience related to business ownership and program or business development, i.e., marketing, advertising, international trade or exporting, public relations and/or promotion of small business endeavors.
